The Plan Commission began in 2008, and has worked hard to develop the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the town of Cable.
The
Comprehensive Land Use Plan provides our community with a set of guidelines for issues related to land use, transportation, cultural, natural, and agricultural resources, issues and opportunities, housing, utilities and community facilities, economic development, intergovernmental cooperation, and implementation.
The Plan Commission continues to help broaden citizen input in an advisory capacity.
They promote town planning and recommend programs for public improvements. They follow a town ordinance and public participation plan to ensure that the public is informed on issues related to planning.
The Plan Commission is made up of seven members and strong community leaders, and many thanks to their tremendous efforts. We usually meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM, in our Cable Community Centre. Meetings are posted similar to the town board meetings. Minutes and agendas are posted on the town web site.
